We first met Maya at the brilliantly curated *Bazaar, and realised straight away that we'd met a kindred, creative spirit. Her range of scents were like nothing we had come across before. Simple, clean, somewhat androgynous and very, very wearable. The classic bottles and exquisite packaging have now become part of our daily routine and are now considered familiar friends in both of our homes.
As we slowly emerge from "lock-down" we've been reflecting on how we have worn our clothing, and how our dresses have been our go-to staples worn in the home with comfy socks and hand knitted cardies on colder days, barefoot and free when temperatures have risen. Maya's beautiful scents have been very much part of this process of "getting ready", whilst working from home - even when there's been nowhere to go and nobody to see. They've both somehow provided a necessary comfort intrinsically linked to better times and places...

The scents are inspired by her Swedish and West African culture. Handcrafted in small batches in her East London studio they are sold in a select few independent retailers and more recently, Liberty of London. Our personal favourites are Tobak and Nordic Cedar.
